What video game companies will hire a 14 yr old as a video game tester?

I would like to be a video game tester but I heard you have to be 16 or older to be a professional video game tester but I want to give it a shot and see what happens so do you know any companies that I should try to see if they will hire me?

None really. There are too many child labor laws and game testing, let alone video games in general, is addicting. At that age they advise you to focus more on your education. It’s easier to just wait until you’re 16 and work for Gamestop or something. At least that way you get a discount and first dibs lol.

As Que Que says, it’s against the law but there are always exceptions, specially if the company wants to gain the feedback of someone your age, though I can’t help you with it, sorry.

I’d look at some independent game developers. You probably won’t get paid much or maybe nothing at all, but that will give you some background in the field. Then later on when you apply at some bigger companies you can show that you’ve got experience.
