When you think of a video game tester what comes to mind? Video game testers are stereotyped as lazy nerds who sit around all day and plays games for a living. While the lazy nerd part is true in some cases, video game testing is actually very complex and there are many different elements that go into it.
Now don’t get me wrong, about 85% of a tester’s time is usually spent playing a video game. But it isn’t really “playing” as you would think of it, it’s more like searching the entire game for any areas of improvement.
