Create! That is what the new video game for the Sony PlayStation 3 Move compels us to do. Create for the PS3 Move is one of the first truly original games to challenge the player to use critical thinking, imagination, and artistic ability. It was developed by EA Bright Light Studios. It is headed for the market on November 19, 2010.

Create is perfect for any age. It aids in enhancing and developing the ability to think quick. As the player is making new things on the game, the game is ‘learning’ the player. The game alters and changes what is happening as the player progresses through the game.

The Create game for PS3 Move actually metamorphosizes with the moves and choices of the player. The more the player makes and moves in the game scenarios, the more the game will reward the player. There are a number of rewards available in the game mode. There also challenges for the player. These challenges can be earned in the same manner as the rewards. The game actually adapts to the player.

The PS Move eye and controller aid the game in remembering and working with each player. It will grow as the players creativity grows. The challenges will get harder, the more the player demonstrates their ability to make quick decisions, and change scenery and objects.

The player will essentially have the ability to ‘make’ their own game. They will animate objects, and textures, and designs. They will be able to dictate how they move, how they act, and what they do. The player will be able to alter and change colors, sizes, and shapes of objects. The more creative the player gets with the game, the more rewards they will earn.

The Create game for the PlayStation Move has over 100 challenges to keep the player involved and active with the game. The Create also has a number of different textures, colors, settings, and art styles for the player to use in the game. As the player progresses through these challenges they will be unlocking even more and new hidden areas, and rewards.

The whole idea of this game is for the player to create a whole world of their own. The player is given lists of things at their disposal, and they are to come up with a whole structure for their own world from these choices. The idea is to get the player to use their mind, and their imagination at the same time.

In order to create this world on the PlayStation Move, the player is allowed to use game stickers, brushes, and elements. There are also a number of different textures and themes to choose from. The art styles at every challenge level change as well. The concept is to use as many mediums and options to create not only the funny, but also the bizarre. This is a game that will give kids and adults alike hours of fun. A definite hit for the holidays.I am a gaming enthusiast and I generally write about the latest and greatest developments in the gaming industry.

There are so many entertaining gaming consoles these days that first time buyers are often left with more queries than answers in choosing the best video game console. Put in mind that we are entering a new decade, so expect more surprises in terms of video game gizmoz, hence more puzzlement from would-be buyers. Meanwhile let’s focus on the strengths of the three major 7th generation game consoles that dominate the market today: Sony Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii.

Sony PlayStation 3 (or PS3, for short) is such a worthy creation, a great improvement from its predecessors (the PS and PS2). With this game console, you not only get to play your chosen games, you even get to enjoy DVD and Blu-ray disc viewing, video chat, digital photo viewing, and many more. It has become a multi-tasker, it’s almost comparable to a smartphone in terms of versatility (not that it already has a built-in cellular phone, although it’s really not far from happening in the near future). It’s also good to know that the PS3 is compatible even with game titles which were released for PS and PS2. The better news is, several manufacturers are still creating great games for this console, so expect more gaming action to happen in your living room in the coming days. The best news is PS3’s online connectivity, which enables you to stay connected with PS3’s online community all the time.

The Xbox 360 is Microsoft’s commendable answer to the public’s great demand for game consoles. You’ll love its Xbox Live service as it enables players to battle each other online. This feature even allows the downloading of game demos, arcade games, your favorite TV shows, and movies. Current models include the Xbox 360 Arcade and the Xbox 360 Elite. Accessories which are made available for the Xbox 360 consist of wireless and wired controllers, headset and webcam (which come convenient for chatting), dancemats, memory cards, and hard drives of different sizes. The Xbox 360 Elite has a vast 120GB storage space which is enough to store a myriad of arcade games, high-def movies, tv shows, and even music.

The Nintendo Wii is the most affordable among the 3 game consoles. It has garnered the reputation of being a “family console” as it allows more wholesome and active games which people from all ages can enjoy. Yes, this game console is not only enjoyed by the youngsters, but even the young at heart. Playing with the games of Nintendo Wii takes more than just lounging in the couch. The games are often good alternatives for exercise as you literally burn calories when you do your jabs, swings, kicks, and other game motions. Nintendo Wii is actually easier to navigate than other consoles. It’s so user-friendly that even the people that you never expect to tinker on a game console (like your grandparents) can easily love to play with it.

Now that you have more information to select the best video game console for your entertainment, wouldn’t it be nice to have at least one of them? Go ahead, make the choice, and find out what the gamers are wild about!

There are a ton of video game faqs that can be found. It literally can be anything video game related. How do you defeat the boss? How do you complete the level? So on and so forth. The faqs in this article will be more targeted toward gaming in general. With that said, let’s get started:

Which console is better, Xbox 360, PS3 or Nintendo Wii?

This question really has no right or wrong answer. The reason for this is because each console has something different to offer. The Xbox 360’s biggest difference is it’s solid online gaming. Both the PS3 and Wii are lagging behind in this area. If your one for online gaming, then the Xbox 360 is for you.

The PS3, while lagging behind in the online department, is a very powerful system. On top of this, they have and will have popular gaming exclusives that no other console will have. Games such as Metal Gear Solid 4, God Of War, and the list goes on. The Wii, on the other hand, offers a different way to play games. It’s main control interface is motion-based, and has many games accessible to the entire family. Wii Sports and Wii Fit is a good example of this.

Which console is the most powerful?

This question has brought up many debates among gaming fans. When push comes to shove though, I would have to give the most powerful “prize” to the PlayStation 3. Besides it’s powerful processor, games like Metal Gear Solid 4 drill that point home even more for me. If you want any indication of the power of the PS3, then check out that game. Now, just because the PS3 may be the most powerful console technically, it doesn’t necessarily mean that all the best looking games will be played for it. That all depends on how video game developers choose to exploit and tap into that power, and how easy or difficult it is to develop for that particular console. Moving on with our video game faqs…

Would it be ok to own more than one console, or should I stick with just one?

If you can afford it, I’d say get more than one. I would personally recommend owning two, tops. If you want all three, and can afford it, then go for it. Which two consoles though, you may be asking? The Wii coupled with either the PS3 or Xbox 360. The simple reason for this is because those two consoles complement each other very well. They are both different enough that you can get a unique gaming experience on each console. If you were to purchase the PS3 and Xbox 360, in my opinion the gaming experience would be too similar and thus you probably wouldn’t feel like your getting as much value as you’d want for the money you spent.

That just about wraps it up. Just remember that it doesn’t matter which console you decide to purchase. In the end, you’ll still be having a blast with all your favorite video games. Each console has something unique to offer, so you really can’t lose. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this “episode” of video game faqs. Now get out there and start playing some video games!

In the world of video game, there are many different categories of games you can buy, and finding out which one is suitable for you is definitely keys to not waste money on games you don’t enjoy.

- Arcade- Arcade games are what most people think of when it comes to video game, the classic coin-operated system and with it comes many different types of games such as street fighter, mortal kombat, Pacman, frogger.

- Role playing- Role playing games are typically games that have element of fantasy, which means a lot of wizards, dragons, elfs, drawfs. These games usually have long play time because you’ll often have to find clues by talking to different characters in game. These games tends to be very addictive due to the fantasy themes. Games like Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana, Zelda all falls into this category.

-Strategy- These games usually involves tactical movement of troops and construction of buildings, they are sort of like chess except in a much faster pace and in real-time. A lot of them are difficult to play for beginners due to the fact that you have to mult-task a lot but it does allow you to use your brain for more strategic thinking. Some example of these games are Age of Empire, Heroes of Might and Magic, Sim City.

-Action- Action games, as its name have suggested, involves alot of fast movement actions. They usually involves obstacle or killing certain types of creatures. An example of these games are Halo, Gears of War, Grand thief Auto.

-Driving- Driving games mostly involves driving in a racecar, or some types of car. You earn faster and nicer cars as you progress through the stages. Sometimes in some driving games, your mission will be destroying cars, these games are often a major target for car-lovers. Example of this category- Mario Kart, GT.

- Puzzle- These games involves thinking and logic skills, they are usually very mild in general but sometimes incorporate role playing element into it as well. Tetris is certainly a great example of puzzle game as well as Puzzle bobble. An example of a puzzle game that incorporate role playing element is Puzzle quest-challenge of the warlord.

There are certainly more video game categories out there, but these are your most basic and are most oftenly play by most players. And of course there are alot of cross over games- games that blend one element with another, these games are usually either very successful or unsuccessful. So choose wisely, but if you don’t like one type, you can always opt out for another one.

And before you buy, I’ll recommend you go and read some review about that game, do some research first. Then you can either go buy that game at your favorite game store

I am a mother of three. My children’s names are Jonathan, Brett and Cody. All three love video games. They devote most of their leisure time playing them. They can’t seem to get enough.

Last Christmas, I purchased a XBox 360 to go with their collection of video game consoles, which include the Nintendo WII, the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 2, the Nintendo GameCube, the PSP and the Nintendo DS. So you can only imagine the collection of games my sons have.

Over the years, I have invested quite a bit of money into their games and the consoles to play them on. It has costed me a small fortune. I can’t believe just how expensive most of these games are. Even the outdated games cost around twenty dollars.

My boys are a little careless at times, leaving their games scattered across table tops, thrown on their beds or even laying in the floor, making it almost certain of some sort of damage. I can not afford to replace broken or scratched games!

I recently downloaded a program that allows me to make quality backups of my children’s games using a CD or a DVD burner. I can even burn my own CDs and DVDs as well!!

I’ve copied a few games, a game that can be played on each system, just to make sure it would work for all our game consoles. It works great!!! This system is so advanced that it gets through the latest unbreakable protection easily and allows you to burn games directly to any blank CD or DVD. I’m really satisfied with this program. I no longer worry about replacing scratched or broken games. The program only cost $29.99. That is less than I would spend on a new game!!

A video game is more than just the sum of all of its pieces. A game contains a unique synergy in that after it is finished, it becomes more unique. Creating this distinct ’synergy’ involves excellent computer skills, technical knowledge, and also a sense of art & design. It is almost like having the brains of Albert Einstein and Leonardo da Vinci combined into one! Game development usually takes on several processes, namely:

Generating a unique game design idea

Creating storyboards and sketches of the entire game world, characters and action

Listing details of the game

Combining concepts together in a unique ‘design document’ (similar to a movie script) that describes what the game is all about

Here are several basic tips that you should remember when developing your game’s blueprint:

The game should be something very easy to learn but hard to master. Try to come up with a game idea that is simple yet deep.

The game should be intuitive, fun, fair and accessible. In a nutshell, a game’s subject-matter should be something that your target audience already knows and loves to do, or is maybe something ‘worth trying’ as soon as it gets released in the market. If a game appears to be too unknown and weird to the public after getting a thirty second preview, then it is already considered ‘inaccessible’– it is something beyond the audience’s reach and therefore people will not purchase it.

The game’s user interface should be similar to standard usage. Online gaming players have already adopted their own form of standard language when it comes to controls. Don’t let the players use their left index finger for the character to jump when everyone else uses the A or B button.

Create equilibrium between control and user friendliness. If you give players more control, the more complicated their burden becomes. Always remember to keep ideas, concepts, themes simple.

Clearly differentiate video games from computer games. Video games are those typically played in a den or in the living room by players who would prefer more action rather than intellect or emotion. Computer games are usually played in a home office or office, usually by more mature, intellectual, and older players. Always remember to keep your target audience in mind.

It would be better to do two things excellently rather than ten things poorly. Simple game designs are better compared to the complex ones, and game quality should never be compromised.

Pictures will always be worth thousands of words. Chart, diagrams, illustrations, and tables are very illustrative and helpful. Keep those prose brief and concise and do not leave anything unexplained.

Hire a professional game tester. Get someone who has played numerous games on different platforms, handheld devices, and consoles. Closely consider their comments, criticisms and recommendations. Redesign your game as necessary so that you won’t be humiliated for a sub-par and mediocre video game.

Create a catchy one sentence description for your new game. Make sure you develop a brief statement that highlights the game’s essence and other key features.

It’s time to answer that oh-so important question that’s been burning in the back of your mind: “how are video games made?” Here is a very basic run down of how video games are made.

1. Core Team

A group of people whom come up with the general concept of the game. Numerous meetings will occur in which the group brainstorms about the game; figuring out not only how it will look, but also how it will work. The core team is in charge of the production schedule as well, which describes the tasks each person is assigned and when they most do them.

2. Game Breakdown

Every detail, task, job, and deadline about the video game is broken down into components and then added to a bulletin board. This board acts as the nerve center throughout the games production.

3. Artistic Concept

Artists sketch out the games characters & backgrounds with a very basic level of detail. These sketches are what the graphics artists use to create the characters and backgrounds in 3D on the computer.

4. Development Team

This team uses the latest in computer animation technology to bring life to all of the game’s elements; adding colors, textures, shading, and even movement. This team uses the 3d characters and backgrounds created by the graphics team.

5. Programming & Engineering

This is the bread & butter of the game development stage; because without this part, there would be no game. Suffice it to say, the programmers & engineers make the game work. Their coding is what holds the game together and allows the player to actually play the game.

6. Testing

This is the final and most crucial part of the development process. This phase is to see if everything is working properly and as it should be. Testers will check for bugs and glitches and try to find potential problems.

The game testers won’t merely be playing the game and seeing if problems will find them — it’s the other way around, as THEY will be the ones searching for the problems. The testers will do everything and anything possible in the game to ensure there is no abnormal situations or circumstances; walking through walls, disappearing, enemy AI problems, cinematic errors, you name it. If the testers miss ANYTHING, it could mean disastrous consequences — in the form of profit loss — for the company releasing the game.

Call of Duty Black OPS is a first shooter video game available on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Nintendo DS consoles. Published by Activision, the game is an advancement on the Call of Duty: World at War video game.

Call of Duty Black OPS centers around the Cold War era of the 1960’s and features Kennedy’s assassination among the other American obsessions like Cuba and Vietnam. For most part of this game you will be playing the role of Alex Mason a Studies and Observations Group (SOG) operator who is tortured and force to revisit his past military operations.

One of the major advancements in this installment of the Call of Duty series is in the Killstreak Rewards – rewards that players earn for making kills in a row without dying. These rewards are now stackable like in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, however Killstreak rewards earn on one level will not count towards the number of kills for the next reward.

This game also introduces a new feature called CoD points. CoD point is the in-game currency used in purchasing what you want as you play the game. You can earn CoD points by

1. Gameplay (gaining experience as you play the game).
2. Contracts (these are challenges you need to overcome).
3. Wager Matches (matches in which only the top three players get rewarded).

Call of Duty Black OPS is highly customisable and can be played in three main modes: Single Player,

Zombie and Multiplayer. Also there are a number of requirements gamers need to meet to earn an achievement or trophy. For example destroying all slingshot targets in 3 attempts will earn you 15 points on the Xbox 360 and a bronze trophy on PS3.

Though gameplay is great, maps are too small and controls were a bit of hit-and-miss. Also some gamers might find the game too fast and furious for their liking. Nevertheless the game is highly addictive and if you have got Xbox live, this game is destined to top the live leader board for a long time.

Millions of people play video games on a daily basis or at least a couple of times per week. They play those games on their computer, on their mobile phones, or on video game systems. Video game systems are more notably referred to as gaming consoles. These consoles have been changed, updated, revamped and improved over the past couple of decades. Some of the most popular video game systems include PlayStation (the entire series), Xbox (the entire series), Nintendo (the entire series) and Sega Genesis. Below we will provide a brief history of these video game systems and what they offer to the gamer.

PlayStation: This gaming system is produced by Sony and features PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable in its list of consoles and handheld systems. The very first console, PlayStation, was released back in 1994. It had two ports for two separate controllers and one circular opening in the middle of the console where the CD would be placed inside. The games were published on CDs and any PlayStation game could be played on PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. PlayStation 2 was released in North America in 2000 and PlayStation 3 was released in North America in November of 2006. PlayStation Portable was released in March of 2005 in North America.

Xbox: This gaming system was the first foray into the gaming console market by Microsoft. It was released in 2001 and was discontinued in 2006. Xbox allows gamers to play their video games online against millions of other gamers across the world. The successor to this system, Xbox 360, was released in November of 2005. The release of the Xbox 360 was one of the main reasons why the Xbox was discontinued from being produced and sold in the video game market. There are various Xbox 360 limited editions available for purchase including Halo 3, the Simpsons, and Resident Evil 5.

Nintendo: Nintendo has released quite a few different video game consoles in their gaming history. Their first console released in North America (1985) was the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and it was accompanied with the Super Mario Bros. video game. In fact, Nintendo is the longest surviving video game console manufacturer to this date. In 1989, the Game Boy, a handheld system, was released by Nintendo. The company has also released Super NES (selling over 49 million consoles), the Nintendo 64, the Nintendo GameCube and the Wii. The Wii is the most recent console release from Nintendo.

Sega Genesis: The Sega Genesis was released in North American markets in 1989 with 14 million consoles sold in the United States and over 29 million worldwide. The Sega Genesis competed fiercely with the Nintendo NES, eventually losing the battle. The Sega Genesis was the most successful console in Sega’s history and its consoles and games are still popular in parts of the world today. In fact, some of the old games have been re-released for newer consoles and offered as downloads on the Internet.
