How do you find local video game tournaments?

How do you find local video game tournaments, preferably cheap or free? Or even at all? I can find lots of online ones, surprisingly like gamebattles and WCG, but I can’t actually find anything for LOCAL video game tournaments. How does one generally go about finding locals?

What is the best baseball and golf video video game?

OK so I am going to buy a baseball and golf video game and need some opinions. I know some games are really great and some are awful! I need one that is the easiest and most fun to play with good graphics and fun game modes. Here are a few I have heard of and need to know if they are any good: MLB The Show 08, The Bigs(which i have never heard of but looks fun), and MLB 2k7. As for golf I really dont know. Also this is for PS2. Thanks everyone!

Why aren’t home computers better for video games? How come I have to buy a separate video game platform?

In other words, how come video games are so much better on PS3 or XBox or Wii, etc.? Why can’t they make equally good games for the computer so that I don’t have to have both a computer and a game system?

What video game should I right my English analytical profile on?

So I have to write “a profile, a description, an outline of something from our visual world.” In my case a video game. It’s a description plus analysis and I am torn between three games: Silent Hill 2, Ico or Shadow of the Colossus. I don’t know which would be the best because I love them all! What do you think? What video game do you recommend for a good story?

I like to play video games while my girlfriend watches, because she’s not good at playing them herself. It’s like an interactive movie. I’ve played the entire Zelda series for her, and Bioshock, and now we’re working on Halflife 2.
