Ever since the economy started going down the drain, a lot of good, hard working people lost their jobs. Most people don’t even know where to look cause their so used to having a job and following the same routine every week. But what if i told you, you can make top dollar playing video games? No it’s not too good to be true.

Thousands of people like you and me make a living out of playing video games. They’re called video game testers.

Video game testers get paid to sit at home, or a testing center, and play video games. Yes this is a really job. Video game companies are constantly working on a new game. It’s a never ending cycle. So, naturally they will need people who can test the games for them before they release it. This is where the video game tester comes in.

The game tester has to play through the game thoroughly to make sure the that everything in the game works properly. Game tester are always in contact with the company.

Whether it’s the developers, programmers, designers, the game tester must be in contact with them at all times when testing the game. They do this so that you can exchange information bout the game currently being tested.

Sending feedback to the gaming companies is the only “actual work” you will probably do. I don’t even really consider it work, to be honest. It’s just a part of game testing. It’s important that you know how to clearly explain a situation to the company.

Let’s say you get to a part of a game and all the sudden everyone you went to open up the in-game menu, the game froze. You will have to explain what actions you took that caused the game to freeze. So you see, even the “actual work” isn’t too hard. But where do you go to find jobs?

It’s hard to get a job testing video games on your own. But fortunately for us, we don’t have to do it alone. There’s plenty of people out here willing to help. People in professional web site communities can help you with everything you need to know for the job. Some of these communities as k for a monthly fee. But you can avoid paying a monthly fee if you find a legit community that you only have to pay for once.

I signed up for one of these communities and they really helped me kick my new career off. They had a “Video Game Tester” guide that really helped me understand how the gaming industry works. It also taught me what i would do throughout the work day.

The best thing about the community is they have a web page with a list of jobs. I’m ALWAYS on this page. they have over 120 gaming companies listed with jobs for video game testers. Not only that, but they update it daily, adding about 20 new jobs every week. So as you can expect, I’m ALWAYS working.

The long awaited first ever UFC video game was released May 19, 2009. It did take a while though, I remember hearing rumors about the game being out much sooner than this but nonetheless it is finally out. I believe I purchased my copy no more than a couple days after its release.

I was excited to see how they would make this game because there are so many techniques used by fighters. I wanted to see how they would incorporate all of these techniques into the game. I have to say, they did a great job. I think the game is very realistic and portrays all facets of the sport. From striking abilities to takedowns, I think they could have made this part of the game any better. I think it is a great game to play with friends and online. I did find some difficulties in playing the game as well. When I play on a high level, I find it extremely difficult to takedowns and submissions.

Whenever I get taken down is basically the end of the fight because I either get submitted or knocked out completely. I also do not like how you have to retire after seven years in career mode. Once I build my fighter up to be good, I have to retire him pretty soon after that because I will have reached seven years. I guess I understand why they made it like that though so a person could not build their fighter up real high then dominate everyone online. That is the only reason I can think of why they would do that. Other than that, I think the game is great. I hope they continue to come out with a new edition every year like madden. I know I will buy it again if they do.

When I was a kid the only time we stayed inside was when the weather was bad, we spent our time playing neighborhood football games not video games. These days it seems like kids are either on a computer or playing video games all the time.

There are all kinds of new maladies being diagnosed due to this new addictive behavior and one of those is video game obsession. So what is the difference between a kid who just likes to play video games and one who is obsessed with the activity? That is what we will look at here; we will look at the signs of video game obsession and how to deal with it.

It isn’t easy to identify the telltale signs that your teen is obsessed with playing video games, there is a fine line between just loving the activity and being obsessed with it. We really need to catch this in their early teens at the latest because children these days are very well versed and by the time the reach the age of 16 or so they may be able to out debate you on the issue. When you point out how much time they spend on the video games they may point to your time spent on the computer or your Blackberry or new iPhone.

Don’t fall into this trap and allow your teen to rationalize their behavior, video games can be addictive and if children are given free reign they will allow the game play to take over everything else and you will find your child not caring about things that used to be important to them.

One of the first things you will notice in a child that is obsessed with video game play is that their grades will suffer. This is very similar to what is seen with a child that is into drugs. Their homework is missing or incomplete, they don’t study for tests, they don’t care about going out and hanging out with friends, and so on. Try not to let it get to this point because then they will do anything to be able to play the game.

Other signs of obsessive behavior include changes in their normal behavior and you will see them being quick to anger, impatient, and impulsive. While this behavior is not acceptable in the real world, it is almost required for success in gaming and it flows over into real life.

This is why it is so crucial for you as a parent to step in and put a limit to the video game play and introduce other healthier activities such as swimming, tennis and other sports activities as well as cultural diversions like theater or art.

Another great video game is Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare, which is a combination of edge of your seat warfare along with a great story line and even better visual effects. This version of Call Of Duty has been reinvented into a more modern conflict and is a perfect blend of action and realism of visual affects that are unbelievable. This video game has a well-crafted story line that is full of unexpected surprises that is sure to keep gamers pleased for hours of fun. This video game has been rated M for mature.

Assassin’s Creed is another stunning video game that has naturally fluid control capabilities and incredible missions that are set within the Middle Ages. The main character in this video game has free-run abilities that are the best of any video game this year. This video game has been rated M for mature. The Mario Brothers are back with Super Mario Galaxy. In this new video game Mario soars from planet to planet within a colorful masterpiece where controls are easily handled. This video game is a combination of puzzles and action. This video game has been rated E for everyone.

The Orange Box is a combination of five amazing video games in one and has become one of the best values in video games of the year. This video game consists of a brain busting game called Portal and a multi-player game called Team Fortress 2 that is fun and stylish. It also includes the intense story of Half Life 2 that is filled with action. This is an incredible video game that has some thing for every one and is rated teen to mature.
